Congratulations on your adoption! That is truly wonderful news. I am (was) in the process of adopting from Vietnam prior to the program closing on Sept. 1st of this year. I was on my agency’s wait list for over a year before I was released to collect my dossier items and spent close to 2 years on the wait list. My timeframe was clearly very different from yours, as I started the process nearly a full year before you. I only reached 7th on the wait list before the program shut down. I’ve not been able to get a clear response from my agency as to the extreme wait time, although when I started my journey, it was right after the program re-opened and I was told I’d be placed “within a year”.
I am curious as to what agency you used. I understand if you don’t want to post the info on line but if you could send me a private email, I would appreciate it.
