No travel date yet.
It’s been longer than usual since I posted here. I’ve been super busy getting stuff ready. So far I have purchased a stroller, a car seat, and the crib. I am also getting stuff done at work and and home. I found a temp and started training her in Tuesday to cover [...]

I have been in the process of adopting a baby boy since January 2nd, 2007. That is the day I applied to my adoption agency. I researched agencies for months before that, as early as March 2006. At the time I applied, the estimated wait time for the adoption of an infant boy from Vietnam [...]

Thank you to my brother & his fiance for picking it up and hauling it home for me! I am really happy with the crib I bought…it was $100 less than the one I wanted somewhere else and it is really well made. Of course it is, look what country made it:
A~ helped put it together:

When I travel I would like to blog about the whole trip – and I would like to be able to give my blog address to everyone…I mean co-workers, friends, and others from my agency who would want to follow along. But not all of these people are people who I would want reading this blog. I talk [...]

The band is OK Go and the song is Here It Goes Again. The video is sooo cool – I don’t know how they did the whole thing without screwing it all up. It ALMOST makes me want to exercise.
Long post….

I’m still recovering from “did I really just get approval?” shock. After waiting almost 2 years since beginning the process, it is hard to believe that it will really happen. I think you wait and wait and wait endlessly for so long, that when you get word like that it just doesn’t seem real. Part [...]

I am so happy (grateful, joyous, full of love, and so many other emotions, I can’t find the words). I received I600 preliminary approval tonight to adopt my son from Vietnam. Baby G~, mommy is coming!
I don’t have any specifics yet on travel, but I did talk with my agency tonight and they said they [...]
How did you spend your Friday night?
Posted in fun stuff, kids on October 18, 2008 | 4 Comments »
In the age before kids, my typical Friday night included drinks with friends and dancing until the wee hours of the morning. There was music, laughing, and good times. Not much has changed, really. Okay, I’m not at the bar, I’m not dancing with my friends, but there is still lots of laughter, music, and [...]
